O \u00f3rg\u00e3o, respons\u00e1vel por controlar a maioria das fun\u00e7\u00f5es corporais e processos mentais, \u00e9 capaz de formar novas conex\u00f5es neurais, modificar as existentes ao longo da vida e regenerar ap\u00f3s les\u00f5es ou doen\u00e7as. Essa capacidade \u00e9 indispens\u00e1vel para o desenvolvimento e aprendizado de todo o indiv\u00edduo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:27px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Para chamar a aten\u00e7\u00e3o para a sua import\u00e2ncia, foi celebrado, na \u00faltima ter\u00e7a-feira (22\/7), o Dia do C\u00e9rebro. Neste ano, a Federa\u00e7\u00e3o Mundial de Neurologia (WFN) comemorou a data com o tema \u201cSa\u00fade do c\u00e9rebro em todas as idades\u201d, ratificando o cuidado com o \u00f3rg\u00e3o ao longo da vida. O Hospital Pel\u00f3pidas Silveira (HPS), refer\u00eancia em neurocirurgia e neurologia na rede estadual de sa\u00fade, aderiu \u00e0 campanha e refor\u00e7ou dicas para manter o c\u00e9rebro saud\u00e1vel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:27px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFalar de sa\u00fade cerebral \u00e9 falar de preven\u00e7\u00e3o desde o in\u00edcio da vida. Existem h\u00e1bitos que podemos fazer para nos mantermos ativos, termos qualidade de vida na velhice e prevenir determinadas doen\u00e7as\u201d, afirmou a neurologista C\u00e1cia Miranda, que atua no HPS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:27px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>De acordo com a especialista, um dos caminhos para manter a sa\u00fade do c\u00e9rebro \u00e9 a reserva cognitiva.\u00a0 Quanto maior a reserva, podem ser menores os sintomas de doen\u00e7as cerebrais, mesmo com altera\u00e7\u00f5es patol\u00f3gicas significativas, ou o decl\u00ednio pode ser mais lento.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"442\" src=\"https:\/\/fghsaude.org.br\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/HPS-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5679\" style=\"width:662px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fghsaude.org.br\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/HPS-2.png 700w, https:\/\/fghsaude.org.br\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/HPS-2-300x189.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>\u201cN\u00f3s precisamos estimular a educa\u00e7\u00e3o e o conhecimento ao longo da vida. Quanto mais anos de escolaridade, quanto mais conhecimento, mais hobbies, maior a reserva cognitiva. \u00c9 como se a gente fizesse uma poupan\u00e7a de neur\u00f4nios que pode ser necess\u00e1ria para prevenir ou retardar sintomas de dem\u00eancia, por exemplo\u201d, contou C\u00e1cia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:27px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Outra dica \u00e9 manter uma alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o saud\u00e1vel e balanceada. A neurologista pontua que a chamada \u201cdieta mediterr\u00e2nea\u201d \u00e9 a que tem mais evid\u00eancias cient\u00edficas de benef\u00edcios para a sa\u00fade global do ser humano. Ela \u00e9 baseada em alimentos frescos e naturais: frutas, verduras, legumes, gr\u00e3os integrais, azeite de oliva e peixe. A isso, alia-se a pr\u00e1tica regular de exerc\u00edcios f\u00edsicos para manter a funcionalidade e qualidade ao longo da vida, prevenindo s\u00edndromes demenciais e doen\u00e7as cardiovasculares, como infarto e AVC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:27px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c9 necess\u00e1rio se atentar, ainda, ao sono. \u201cDormir bem \u00e9 importante e pode reduzir as chances de dem\u00eancias. \u00c9 apenas durante o sono profundo que o nosso c\u00e9rebro consegue limpar o lixo cerebral, como algumas prote\u00ednas, a exemplo da beta-amiloide, que tem um papel essencial na doen\u00e7a de Alzheimer.
